With “Nt7arko w Nktachfo”, thehe Marocaine des Jeux et des Sports (MDJS) is launching for the first time in Morocco, a free mobile application that allows you to discover, on foot or by bike, running or walking, the cultural and heritage sites in 7 Moroccan cities.

The “Nt7arko” platform, initiated by the MDJS in 2016, continues to be enriched with new initiatives and new modules to encourage sports practice in Morocco.

The latest of this citizen platform “Nt7arko w Nktachfo”, a new device which allows the general public to download the Nt7arko application free of charge and to explore, on foot or by bike, by walking or running, 10 cultural and tourist routes in 7 Moroccan cities, indicates a press release from the MDJS.

These itineraries, 7 km long on average, allow you to discover the architectural gems, museums, heritage sites, history and monuments of each city. The itineraries are each made up of 10 stopovers on average. These are all points of interest that the general public is invited to discover or rediscover thanks to the audio description offered by the application “Nt7arko w Nktachfo”.

“Our cities are full of historical, cultural and heritage sites. But to discover them and appreciate them at their true value, it is often necessary to walk, to approach them, to take the time to contemplate and to understand. The Nt7arko w Nktachfo application meets these two aspects. First, through the interactive circuits that we offer and that everyone can follow at their own pace, alone or with the family. We then chose to accompany these circuits with explanations and stories for a better assimilation of the cultural significance of each monument ”, explains the Director General of the MDJS, Younes El Mechrafi quoted in the press release.

The launch of the mobile application is accompanied by a television program called by the same name “Nt7arko w Nktachfo”, broadcast every Tuesday and Thursday on 2M, the same source specifies.

Hicham Masrar, ambassador of the MDJS, experiences the 10 circuits offered on the application. From Tangier to Essaouira, via Casablanca, Meknes, Volubilis, Marrakech and Rabat “a real journey rich in learning, discovery and emotions”.

“These circuits can be traveled by athletes, tourists or even by families on vacation. Discovering a city through a guided tour and explanations for each point of interest is a good excuse to get moving. It is therefore a program totally consistent with our approach and our philosophy for the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and a regular sporting practice for all Moroccans ”, for her part underlined Khadija Boudali, director. MDJS marketing.

Other seasons of the program as well as updates to the application are planned in the coming years to offer more circuits in other Moroccan cities and regions.

In 2016, the MDJS launched the “Nt7arko” program in partnership with the editorial agency W5 Media. The program has set itself a major objective: to make Moroccans want to move by giving them an overview of the panoply of sports disciplines practicable in Morocco.

In two seasons, “Nt7arko” was able to experience 52 disciplines, from the most classic to the most unexpected. Sign of the success of the program “Nt7arko” was the most watched TV program on Moroccan television in 2020 with 9 million viewers on average per episode. The same year, “Nt7arko” was crowned best “Brand content” of the year in Morocco.

The year 2020 was marked by the outbreak of the Covid-19 crisis, which severely limited access to sports activity due to the closure of sports halls and the general curfew.

To limit the effects of the pandemic on the health and well-being of Moroccans, the MDJS launched Nt7arko F’Dar, the first 100% Moroccan home sports application, with more than 150 exercises to download for free. In less than three weeks, Nt7arko becomes the most downloaded Android application in Morocco.

In 2021, the platform is enriched with a new version, “Nt7arko Celebrity” where 15 stars play the game, leave their comfort zone and discover new sports disciplines. Good humor and joy to turn the page on the crisis and always the same creed: to make Moroccans want to move.

Today, the “Nt7arko” platform has taken a new step with the first “Culture through Sport” application in Morocco, “Nt7arko w Nktachfo”, with 10 interactive circuits in 7 Moroccan cities and a TV program combining sport. , discovery and culture. Another way, and another reason to move.
