Nigeria and Botswana in the quarter-finals

Nigeria and Botswana qualified on Sunday for the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) women’s football (Morocco-2022), at the end of the third and last day of group C.

The Nigerian team won their ticket by beating Burundi 4-0 at the HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan sports complex in Rabat.

For its part, Botswana, thanks to its best 3rd place, qualified for the same round despite its defeat against South Africa on the score of 1 goal to 0, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah sports complex. .

At the end of the day, South Africa finished at the top of this group with 9 points, ahead of Nigeria (6 pts) and Botswana with 3 points.

Burundi, last of this group, leaves the competition.

The South African team had qualified for the quarter-finals by beating their Burundian counterpart with a score of 3 goals to 1.
