Nice week for the Casablanca Stock Exchange

The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed the week from March 14 to 18, 2022 on the rise, its main index, the Masi, gaining 2.01% to 12,877.80 points.

The Morocco Stock Index 20 (MSI20), which reflects the price performance of the 20 most liquid companies, gained 2.24% to 1,041.54 points and the Casablanca ESG 10, the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) benchmark index. , improved by 2.19% to 968.34 points.

At the end of this week, 10 sector indices closed on a positive note, against 13 in negative territory. The transport sector showed the strongest decline (-10.45%), followed by those of building and building materials (-9.85%) and real estate (-7.45%).

Conversely, the mining sector index (+12.64%) recorded the best weekly performance, ahead of engineering and industrial capital goods (+12.54%) and community services (+12. ,26%).

Under the five sessions this week, the overall volume amounted to more than 396 million dirhams (MDH). On the podium of the most active stocks are Attijariwafa Bank with a transactional volume of 45.41 MDH, Alliances (44.3 MDH) and BCP (34.8 MDH).

Market capitalization exceeded 671.72 billion dirhams (MMDH).

Individually, M2M Group (-5.66% to 750 DH), Stroc Industrie (-5.48% to 43.48 DH), Lydec (-5.36% to 265 DH), IB Maroc.com ( -4.84% to 35.02 DH) and Maghreb Oxygène (-3.99% to 388.85 DH) showed the biggest drops of the week.

The best weekly performances were the work of Med Paper (15.91% to 23.31), Mechanical Achievements (+11.55% to 155.50 DH), Totalenergies Marketing Morocco (+10.85% to 1,675 DH ), Timar (+9.20% to 136.50 DH) and Maghrebail (+8.13% to 865.50 DH).
