In the first five months of 2022, nearly 40,000 companies were created in Morocco, according to the general dashboard of the Moroccan Office for Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC).
This is precisely 39,734 units over the first 5 months of 2022, and these companies are divided between legal persons with 27,812 units and natural persons (11,922), specifies the same source.
By sector, trade monopolizes 35.89% of total business creations, followed by building and public works (BTP) and real estate activities (18.45%), miscellaneous services (17.25%), transport (9.20%), industries (6.83%), hotels and restaurants (6.37%), the information and communication technologies sector (2.59%), agriculture and fishing (2.29%) and financial activities (1.14%), indicates the dashboard of OMPIC.
The regional distribution shows a domination of the Casablanca-Settat region with 11,305 companies, ahead of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (5,472), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (5,438), Marrakech-Safi (3,793), Fez -Meknes (3,084), Souss-Massa (2,625), Oriental (2,178), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (1,885), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (1,439), Drâa-Tafilalet (1,128), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (954 ) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (433).
With regard to the legal form, 62.5% of the companies created are limited liability companies with a single partner (SARLAU), 37.2% limited liability companies (SARL) and 0.2% public limited companies (SA ).
