Moroccan international Nayef Aguerd scored the third goal for his West Ham team against Crystal Palace on Saturday, on behalf of the 34th day of the Premier League.
With this goal scored in the 72nd minute of play, the Lion of Atlas signs his second goal with the Hammers.
Led very early after a goal by Tomáš Souček (9th), the players of Crystal Palace multiplied the battering, first through Jordan Ayew (15th), then Wilfried Zaha (20th) and Jeffrey Schlupp ( 30th).
But despite a large domination in the game, Jordan Ayew’s teammates still offered themselves several scares, first with the reduction of the gap of Michail Antonio (35th), then that of Nayef Aguerd (72nd), consecutive to the goal of Eberechi Eze six minutes earlier.
With now 40 points garnered, the residents of Selhurst Park relegate Leicester, first relegation, to eleven units. West Ham (34 points), still mired in 15th position, remains under threat from the red zone.
The match was delayed for fifteen minutes. The supporters, en masse around the stadium, encountered difficulties in entering the enclosure. Technical problems impacted the turnstiles at the entrance.
