A month after leaving his post with Olympique de Marseille, Nasser Larguet was appointed National Technical Director within the Saudi Federation and thus reunited with an old acquaintance.
It is now done. The Saudi Federation has announced the arrival of Nasser Larguet who will occupy the position of National Technical Director (DTN). The latter joins his former colleague Hervé Renard, coach of the Saudi team with whom he worked closely during his time at the head of the Atlas Lions.
“The Saudi Football Federation has appointed Frenchman Nasser Larguet as Technical Director of the Saudi Federation”says the Saudi federation on Twitter.
After having spent more than 3 years at the head of the OM training center, with experience as an interim coach, Nasser Larguet had decided to leave the Ligue 1 giant, citing personal reasons.

Aged 63, the former Caen had notably made an impression during his coaching experience with the OM first team between February and March 2021, when André Villas-Boas left. He had led the team for nine games.
Nasser Larguet joined OM in June 2019, after leaving his post as technical director at the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) which he had held since 2014.
Larguet would have failed to expand the training of young footballers, and in particular the construction of young national teams capable of leading African journeys.
