The Mohammed VI Foundation for the reintegration of detainees organized a multidisciplinary medical caravan for the benefit of residents of the local prison of Nador.
This humanitarian initiative, organized in partnership with the General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration (DGAPR), the provincial delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Nador and local partners, is part of the the strengthening of the health offer in penitentiary establishments, as a step towards reintegration.
The caravan, held under the slogan “Health care, an essential lever for reintegration”, focused on 11 specialties and targeted some 700 residents, who benefited from free medical consultations and medication.
This operation mobilized around forty doctors specialized in ophthalmology, pneumology, dermatology, endocrinology and diabetology, cardiology, psychiatry and urology.
The caravan is part of the Foundation’s interest in the health of detainees and the social situation of this category in general, explained Abdelhalim Miri, regional coordinator of the Oriental of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the reintegration of prisoners.
She is part of similar caravans organized by the Foundation in all regions of the Kingdom, with the aim of offering medical consultations and medicines to residents of penitentiary establishments, he said.
