MoU between the Court of Auditors and its Palestinian counterpart

The Court of Auditors and the Office of Audit and Financial and Administrative Control of the State of Palestine signed, Monday in Rabat, a memorandum of understanding for bilateral cooperation.

Initialed by the First President of the Court of Auditors, Mrs. Zineb El Adaoui, and the Director of the Office of Audit and Financial and Administrative Control of the State of Palestine, Iyad Tamim, this memorandum concerns the exchange of experiences and information between the two institutions.

Speaking on this occasion, Zineb El Adaoui underlined that the visit of the Palestinian delegation marks an additional stage in the direction of the reinforcement of the bonds of cooperation and will undoubtedly constitute a starting point to establish the milestones of a constructive partnership between the two institutions, already linked by a partnership agreement signed in 2018.

“For the Court of Auditors, bilateral cooperation is not an objective in itself but a common and sustainable framework for the exchange of knowledge produced internally (…)”, she said.

While welcoming the action of the representatives of the Court of Auditors and the Office of Audit and Financial and Administrative Control of the State of Palestine at the level of international bodies and organizations, the President of the Court of Auditors expressed the willingness of his institution to activate the cooperation agreements between the two parties and to strengthen joint action with the Palestinian side within the framework of multi-party partnerships.

For his part, Iyad Tamim expressed his satisfaction with the signing of this memorandum in the service of Moroccan and Palestinian citizens, and this, in application of the general policy of the Palestinian State.

In a statement to the press, he said that the signing of this memorandum reflects the good relations between the two bodies and their desire to move forward in terms of information exchange and development of joint actions.
