The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita, said that Morocco is ready to host the 2nd edition of the Negev forum at the start of the school year if the context is favorable.
“We hope that the context will be favorable for the holding of this important event on the one hand, but also for it to produce results, on the other hand”, declared Bourita during a press briefing at the from his talks with the Swiss Federal Councillor, Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Ignazio Cassis, on a working visit to Morocco.
“The Negev Forum is the bearer of an idea of cooperation and dialogue, contrary to all that is provocative action, unilateral action, or even decision carried by radicals on both sides, but especially on the Israeli side, in relation to Arab territories busy,” he said.
And to add that “the Kingdom considers the Negev Forum to be an ultimate and relevant framework for cooperation and regional dialogue, which can provide positive responses to several challenges”.
There were attempts to organize this Forum during the summer but unfortunately problems of agenda and dates prevented its holding, explained the Minister, referring to the political context which could not allow this meeting to produce the expected results. of this event.
In this regard, the Minister underlined that the process is still in progress with a view to optimizing the role and contribution of this Forum in favor of all actions for peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
