Morocco participates with an important pavilion in the World Tourism Fair ITB 2023 in Berlin, which is held from March 7 to 9.
The Minister of Tourism, Crafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, accompanied by Zohour Alaoui, King’s Ambassador to Berlin, inaugurated on Tuesday the Moroccan pavilion, which stands as a platform for exchange and visibility of Morocco as a destination during this leading exhibition in the tourism industry.
Morocco, represented by many Moroccan operators from all regions, is participating in force in this major international tourism fair, the minister said.
“The German market is extremely important for Moroccan tourism. It is the fourth source market. It is very important for us to continue working in this market which we have not yet managed to fully recover from the Covid crisis,” the minister stressed.
And to continue: “We have a tourist recovery rate in Morocco of 84%. For the German market, we are at 64%”.
It is important, according to her, to participate in force in this show and to meet the operators, in order to establish new partnerships, indicating that several memorandums of understanding will be signed with operators of great importance.
“It is very important for us to be able to show the commitment of the Kingdom to recover and develop the German market even more,” she said, adding that Germany, this friendly country, must play a greater role. in Morocco’s future roadmap.
Morocco’s participation in this Fair is organized by the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), which has designed spaces adapted to offer optimal visibility of the Morocco Brand and its tourist regions.
With more than 180,000 visitors, including 108,000 professionals and more than 10,000 exhibitors from 180 countries, ITB Berlin is the leading trade fair covering the entire offer of the tourism industry. All the players in the sector that generate added value are present: tour operators, booking sites, destinations, airlines and hotels as well as vehicle rental companies.
