Morocco supports Mauritania’s candidacy for ALESCSO

Morocco on Thursday (June 9th) gave its official support to the candidacy of the Mauritanian, Mohamed Ould Amar, for the post of Director General of the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science (ALECSO). This support can be explained by the bonds of “fraternity” which unite King Mohammed VI and Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.

In a statement from the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kingdom announced that it supports the candidacy of Mauritanian Mohamed Ould Amar, for a second term as Director General of the Arab institution.

“Based on the ties of brotherhood that unite His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, with his brother, His Excellency President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and in confirmation of the solid relations of cooperation that exist between the Kingdom of Morocco and the sister Islamic Republic of Mauritania, the Kingdom of Morocco renews its full support for the appointment of Mr. Mohamed Ould Amar”indicates the department of Nasser Bourita.
