Morocco, Spain and Portugal World Cup bid is a great message of peace, tolerance and inclusion

FIFA President Gianni Infantino said the joint bid by Morocco, Spain and Portugal to host the World Cup is “a great message of peace, tolerance and inclusion.”

Following the announcement that the three countries will host the 2030 World Cup, Infantino said that “in a divided world, FIFA and football are uniting.”

In addition to taking place on Europe and Africa, the first three matches of the centennial World Cup will take place in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.

For the first time in World Cup history, the event will be hosted by six different nations, across three continents, “welcoming and uniting the world while celebrating together the beautiful game, the centenary and the FIFA World Cup,” the FIFA President concluded.
