The qualification of the Atlas Lions in the semi-finals of the Qatar 2022 World Cup continues to arouse reactions. For the American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, “Africa is making history”.

“On the eve of the 2022 USA-Africa Leaders’ Summit (scheduled for next week in Washington, Editor’s note), I congratulate the Atlas Lions on their victory today”, becoming the first African and Arab team to reach the semis. -World Cup finals, wrote the head of American diplomacy on his Twitter account.

He further indicated that Africa is making history on the ground and beyond.

Note that the men of Walid Regragui qualified for the semi-finals of the football high mass by beating Portugal by 1 goal to 0, Saturday at the al-Thumama stadium.

The winning goal for the Atlas Lions was scored by Youssef En-Nesyri in the 42′.

The Moroccan selection will face France for a place in the final on Wednesday December 14 at 8:00 p.m. at Stade al-Bayt.
