Morocco hosts Formula 4 championship for the first time

A first in Morocco. The Royal Federation of Motor Sports (FRMSA) has announced the organization of a Formula 4 championship in 2024 and 2025. The event will turn the country into a world-class motorsport hub.

Organized by the FRMSA and AGS, this single-seater championship will be dedicated to Moroccan drivers as well as their international counterparts, notably from Europe and the MENA region, reads a FRMSA press release. Moreover, the Kingdom joins the very select group of countries organizing such a sporting event. It is a gateway to Formula 1.

As far as the schedule for Morocco’s Formula 4 championship is concerned, no information has yet been released, according to the FRMSA president. One thing is clear: competitions will take place on the circuits available in the Kingdom. Others will be added after their international homologation process. This diversification offers drivers a variety of terrains in which to put their skills to the test.

Abedarrahim Abdane, President of the FRMSA, confirms Morocco’s ongoing commitment to standardizing motor sports, with the sole aim of making the Kingdom a major player in the field.
