The African Supercup between Wydad Casablanca (WAC) and RS Berkane (RSB) will be played in Morocco, we learned on Sunday from a well-informed source at the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The CAF Executive Committee, meeting in Rabat on the sidelines of the Women’s African Cup of Nations (Morocco-2022), authorized the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) to determine the date and place of organization of this meeting, said the same source.
According to a source at CAF, the declaration of the CAF president during the press conference held at the end of the executive committee was misinterpreted, noting that Tanzania will host, next August, a CAF meeting in view to examine the African Super League project and not the Super Cup.
WAC won the Champions League by beating Egypt’s Al Ahly (2-0), while RS Berkane won the CAF Cup final against South Africa’s Orlando Pirates (1 -1, tab 5-4).
