MoroccoLatestNews learned from an informed source that the Moroccan embassy in Palestine has started compiling lists of Gaza residents with Moroccan nationality.
This comes at a time when the diaspora in the Strip have started calling for King Mohammed VI to repatriate the nationals from the region under siege.
The same source said that at the present time, people holding Moroccan nationality are being identified, contacted and localized.
MoroccoLatestNews had contacted Moroccans stranded in Gaza, who appealed to the King to facilitate the process of their repatriation to the Kingdom, saying they living under bombardment without shelter, water or food due to Israel’s attacks on the strip.
The United Nations World Food Program warned on Tuesday that the situation in the Gaza Strip is deteriorating rapidly, and that only enough food stocks remain in stores for four or five days.
The spokeswoman for the World Food Program in the Middle East, Abeer Atifa, said in a statement to reporters: “Inside stores, (food) stocks are sufficient for less than a few days, perhaps four or five days.”
