The Moroccan women’s national basketball team ended its participation in the 13th Arab Championship of the discipline organized by Egypt, occupying the second place, after its defeat in the final against its Egyptian counterpart Monday at the indoor stadium Cairo International by 96 to 75.
The first half of this match ended in favor of the Egyptians 56 to 27.
The Moroccan team had beaten its Algerian counterpart in the semi-final on Sunday by 78 to 67.
The 13th edition of the Arab Women’s Basketball Championship recorded the participation of 5 teams, namely Morocco, Kuwait, Algeria, in addition to Egypt which participated with two teams “A” and “B”.
The tournament was held in one round between the five participating teams, which led to the qualification of Egypt “A” and “B”, Morocco and Algeria for the semi-finals.
