Morocco at the 7th Arab Cup in Jeddah

The Moroccan futsal selection is taking part in the 7th edition of the Arab Cup, organized from June 6 to 16 in Jeddah by the Arab Football Union and hosted by the Saudi Federation.

Twelve selections take part in the competitions of this edition, namely Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt, Libya, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Algeria, Palestine, Mauritania, Comoros and Tajikistan.

This tournament is one of the Arab Football Union championships for the 2023 season. The Egyptian national team won the title in the first and second editions, which were held in Egypt in 1998 and 2005.

The Libyan national team were crowned champions of the third edition of the championship which took place in Libya in 2007, before they doubled the lead by winning the title of the fourth edition organized in Egypt, in 2008.

Egypt had hosted the fifth edition of the Arab Futsal Cup in 2021, in which the Moroccan national team won the title, before capturing the title again in the sixth edition held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in 2022.

In addition, the organizing committee of the competition will hold, Monday and Tuesday, a preparatory meeting in Jeddah, to follow all the preparations of the committees. This will be followed by a collective press conference of the coaches of all the teams taking part in the tournament.
