Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) and the Superior Council of Ulemas organized, from June 1 to 5 in Rabat, meetings with the Supreme Council of Sharia under the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates.
These meetings aim to expand the areas of cooperation between the Supreme Sharia Council of the UAE Central Bank and the Sharia Committee for Participatory Finance under the Supreme Council of Ulemas, said a statement from BAM.
In this sense, several meetings were held to discuss the developments and challenges facing crowdfunding, as well as the exchange of experiences and ways to promote the crowdfunding industry in both countries.
A meeting was also held between the UAE Supreme Sharia Council and the Moroccan Capital Market Authority, as well as the Insurance and Social Welfare Supervisory Authority.
This visit is an opportunity to strengthen cooperation and develop joint action between the aforementioned institutions in the field of participatory finance in Morocco and the United Arab Emirates, the statement concludes.
