The means of strengthening cooperation between Morocco and Mexico in the field of air transport were at the center of a meeting between the Ambassador of the Kingdom in Mexico City, Abdelfattah Lebbar, and the Mexican Deputy Minister of Communications and Transport, Carlos Alfonso Moran Moguel.
This meeting was an opportunity to examine the prospects of signing an agreement relating to the development of air transport services, as well as the launch of a direct airline between Morocco and Mexico. This interview follows the meeting held in October 2019 which was marked by the signing of a preliminary memorandum of understanding with a view to signing an agreement on the development of air transport services between the two countries.
The two parties thus underlined the importance of launching this direct air link which is able to contribute to the strengthening of trade and economic cooperation between the Kingdom, as the gateway to the African continent, and the region of Africa. Latin America and the Caribbean.
This interview was also the opportunity to discuss the strengthening of cooperation in the field of tourism and the means of improving the tourist attractiveness between the two countries, knowing that Morocco constitutes the first tourist destination in North Africa and in the Middle East (MENA) for Mexico.
Likewise, the two parties recalled that Morocco is an essential economic partner of Mexico in the MENA region.
This meeting is part of the efforts made by the two countries to strengthen bilateral relations and develop existing partnership ties and cooperation in many areas.
