Morocco is part of the innovative countries in terms of employment policy, emphasized the Ambassador of the Kingdom in Italy, Youssef Balla, on Friday in Venice.
Morocco has adopted a new approach to employment policy, aimed at going beyond traditional active labor market policies and the issue of unemployment, the ambassador stated at a meeting organized under the theme “employment as a means of economic growth.”
In this regard, the diplomat pointed out that the National Employment Strategy envisions strengthening active labor market programs, especially public employment services, vocational training programs, measures to support entrepreneurship, and social support mechanisms.
Furthermore, the Ambassador highlighted that Morocco and Italy maintain close and diversified relations in the field of employment and share common challenges such as combating unemployment, promoting job quality, transitioning to a green digital economy, and integrating migrants.
“Our two countries have also implemented reforms and strategies based on social dialogue and international cooperation,” he concluded.
In this meeting, the Embassy of Morocco, the business association CIFA, and the Foundation of Labor Experts signed a memorandum of understanding to promote good practices within the Moroccan community in the field of work, especially in terms of training, skill enhancement, workplace safety awareness, and legal protection, through a digital platform.
