The Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences of Tangier is organizing, from July 3 to 6, a Moroccan-Spanish scientific meeting on the circular economy and tourism.
Organized in partnership with the International University of Andalusia and in coordination with the Cefal Foundation, this 3rd edition of the summer courses aims to enable tourism stakeholders, professionals, students and laureates of institutes specializing in tourism to take knowledge of effective ways to promote circular economy and sustainable tourism.
The objective of this training is to highlight the importance of “renewable tourism” in preserving the environment and natural balance and supporting the economy, as well as sharing environmentally friendly tourist experiences. , and to promote the sustainability of the tourism sector, which is one of the pillars of the Spanish and Moroccan economies.
This meeting is also an opportunity to discover the pioneering tourism experiences supported by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), and to discuss issues related to “the importance of sustainability in the field of tourism”, “the structural elements of the tourist experience”, “the new perspectives for the tourism sector in the light of climate change”, “the new approach to promoting the tourist experience respectful of the environment”, and “the transformation of tourism in its relationship with territorial governance and new tourism”.
Discussions will also focus on innovative tourism products, the position of sustainable tourism in national and international markets, and the importance of awareness raising in mobilizing the community, people interested in the tourism sector and decision makers around the adoption of the conditions for sustainable tourism.
According to the organizers, this training, supervised by experts and professors from the University Abdelmalek Essaâdi, the University of Malaga and the International University of Andalusia, opens the way to the exchange of experiences and expertise in the field of renewable and sustainable tourism, which is now of great importance in the development of a circular economy that respects the environment, and the strengthening of the sustainability of cities.
