The number of passengers who passed through Marrakech-Menara international airport recorded during the month of March, a decrease of 89.94% compared to the same period of the year 2020.
Thus, this airport infrastructure received during the same period, some 28,337 passengers against 281,788 travelers during the month of March 2020 and 580,749 passengers during the month of March 2019, according to the latest statistics provided by the National Airports Office (ONDA).
This international airport recorded at the end of March a drop of 90.03% compared to the first three months of 2020, said the same source.
At the end of March, this airport structure welcomed some 134,095 travelers against 1,344,452 passengers during the first three months of 2020 and 1,521,313 travelers in 2019.
And the same source continues that this airport occupied last March, 3rd place nationally in terms of aircraft movement traffic, with 7.32% behind Mohammed V International Airport (48.62%) and Tangier Ibn Battouta International Airport (12.21%).
The Kingdom’s airports recorded last March a commercial traffic volume of 400,863 passengers compared to 2,066,199 passengers in March 2019, and 941,790 passengers in March 2020, a decrease of around -80.60% respectively and -57.44%.
