Agadir-Al Massira airport welcomed some 605,048 passengers in 2021, compared to 587,633 travelers in 2020, according to the National Airports Office (ONDA).
Passenger traffic at this airport thus increased by 2.96% in 2021, year-on-year, ONDA said in a press release.
Compared to 2019 (2,009,040 passengers), the airport recorded a 69.88% drop in passenger traffic.
During the year 2021, which was marked by the persistence of the health crisis, the airports of the Kingdom experienced an improvement in the level of air traffic compared to the year 2020, recording a volume of commercial passenger traffic of 9,938 607 passengers, of which more than a third registered during the period from June 15 to August 31, compared to 7,155,091 passengers welcomed during the year 2020, an increase of around 38.9%.
This traffic represents 40% of the air traffic recorded in 2019.
