More than 300,000 candidates obtained their baccalaureate in 2023

The Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports announced Thursday that the number of candidates enrolled in public and private education, who have successfully passed the ordinary and remedial session tests, reached 304,068 under the year 2023.

The pass rate in regular and remedial sessions reached 73.99%, compared to 78.84% in 2022, the ministry said in a statement, noting a decline of 4.85%.

A total of 58,780 school candidates passed the remedial session tests, the ministry said, with an attendance rate of 94.34% during this session.

According to the same source, the number of free candidates who passed the tests for this session reached 13,025 with an attendance rate of 62.17%. Thus, the number of free candidates who passed the two sessions reached 34,364 with a success rate of 43.02%, against 46.99% in 2022, i.e. a decline of 3.97%.

With regard to the scientific and technical courses, the ministry noted a success rate of 68.89% among the schooled candidates who passed the ordinary and remedial sessions. A success rate of 83.86% was also recorded in the literature and original education streams and a rate of 82.14% was noted in the international streams of the Moroccan baccalaureate. Finally, the vocational baccalaureate recorded a success rate of 68.71%.

The ministry praised, on this occasion, the exemplary involvement of education and training officials in the implementation of measures aimed at strengthening the credibility of the Moroccan baccalaureate and guaranteeing equal opportunities. The Ministry expressed its great appreciation for the efforts of the families, the local and security authorities, and all the people who ensured that the events took place in the best conditions, without forgetting the efforts of the media who accompanied the various stages of these tests.
