More ministers of this government responded to MEPs than previous ones

Government spokesman Mustapha Baitas affirmed that the executive was calm about its assessment of this parliamentary session, during the weekly press conference at the end of the government council. He also felt that the presence of ministers in Parliament to answer MPs’ questions was superior to previous governments.

“The government is calm about the work it is doing in Parliament,” he said at a press conference.

Without giving precise data on the exercise, the spokesperson announced that a press conference will be organized by the ministry in charge of relations with Parliament to present figures and data from this session.

However, he noted that “this session is important because Parliament has voted and approved 5 very important and strategic laws that are reflected in the overhaul of the health system”, he argued.

Mustapha Baitas told reporters that there was efficiency in relations between the executive and parliament, citing as examples issues that have mobilized public opinion such as inflation and rising prices in recent months.

The government official also added that the number of ministers’ attendance and responses to questions “was much higher” than previous governments.
