At the initiative of the Moroccan Syndicate of Professional Painters and the house “Mazad & Art” of Tangier, an auction of works of art will be organized on November 29, 2021, the profits of which will be paid to the Bayt Mal Al Agency. Quds Acharif (BMAQ), on the occasion of the world day of solidarity with the Palestinian people.
More than 100 painters responded to consolidate the values of peace and coexistence in the holy city of Al Quds, which brings together the followers of the three monotheistic religions.
This operation is governed by a cooperation protocol signed between the BMAQ Agency, the Syndicate and the “Mazad & Art” house of Tangier on June 9, 2021, stipulating the rights and obligations of the parties in order to ensure the best conditions for its success and achieve the expected objectives, in accordance with the applicable standards in this area.
In this sense, the Agency and its partners offer those interested and wishing to acquire paintings, individuals or institutions, the opportunity to learn about the works of art, during an exhibition that will be organized from October 28 to 28. November 2021 in the exhibition hall of the Hay Riad Agency, Rabat under the title “Moons Picking”.
The involvement of the Syndicate and the “Mazad & Art” house of Tangier in the support of the BMAQ Agency is based on a strong conviction of the role of this institution in the protection of Al Quds and in the preservation of its humanitarian heritage. ‘inspired by the principle of peace and tolerance and which leads to the establishment of bridges of friendship and understanding between the inhabitants of the holy city by their convictions and their backgrounds.
This is where the wisdom comes from spreading the virtues of peace and tolerance as confirmed by the “Appeal of Al Quds” signed by His Majesty King Mohamed VI, Commander of the Believers, with His Holiness The Pope of the Vatican, Pope Francis in Rabat on March 30, 2019, insisting on the importance of preserving the legal status of the holy city with its religious and civilizational character.
The revenues from this auction will be devoted by the Agency to support the culture and arts sector and to funding research and publications, which will be added to donations from Moroccan institutions and individuals who constitute the main source of Agency funding.
The Bayt Mal Al Quds Acharif Agency and the Moroccan Syndicate of Professional Painters appeal to the generosity of institutions and individuals to acquire paintings subject to a donation by painters for the benefit of the Agency, to support its actions of solidarity with the holy city of Al Quds, with its inhabitants and its institutions.
