Olympique de Marseille players, including Moroccan international Azzedine Ounahi, were entitled to a day and a half of rest after their victory against Toulouse (3-2) on Sunday on behalf of the 24th day of Ligue 1.
Taking advantage of this respite, Ounahi made the choice to attend, this Tuesday with his agent Mehdi Benatia, the opening match of the U19 International Tournament of the Mohammed VI Academy, which will oppose the Academy club to Glasgow Rangers.
Note that Ounahi himself is a pure product of the Mohammed VI Academy, just like his teammates in selection, Youssef En-Nesyri, Nayef Aguerd, and Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti.
As a reminder, the Academy organizes from Tuesday to Friday, the 5th edition of its U19 tournament in the presence of the host club, but also of the FUS Rabat, the Senegalese from Génération Foot, the French from OM, OL and Strasbourg, in addition to Real Madrid, PSV Eindhoven or Glasgow Rangers.
Twelve (12) clubs in total are therefore taking part in this tournament intended to shine the spotlight on young African talents, who will be closely scrutinized by the European recruiters present.
