Meeting in Rabat of the Strategic Orientation Council of the MCA-Morocco Agency

The Strategic Orientation Council (COS) of the Millennium Challenge Account-Morocco Agency (MCA-Morocco) was held on Thursday in Rabat, under the chairmanship of the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch.

In a press statement on this occasion, Aziz Akhannouch indicated that “we are working on the realization of projects within the framework of the second cooperation program (Compact II) in the coming months”, noting that this program, which started in 2017, aims to increase the quality of human capital through education and training with a view to employability and improving the productivity of real estate, through its registration and conservation.

In this regard, the head of government indicated that this meeting was an opportunity to highlight the need to work to accelerate the implementation of Compact II projects as soon as possible and to take stock of the very positive effects. of this program on the sectors concerned by the projects.

For her part, the Deputy Resident Director of Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) in Morocco, Carrie Monahan, explained that “MCC’s mission is to stimulate economic growth and investment in the private sector in the countries where it operates” .

“The United States and Morocco are working together to invest in two priority areas of the Moroccan economy, including training and real estate,” noted Carrie Monahan, who expressed her pride to attend this meeting.

“After more than four years of implementing this charter, we at MMC are proud of the achievements of training and real estate projects, and we are also confident of achieving our common goals of preparing young people for the market. employment and promote investment in real estate.

On November 30, 2015, Morocco signed the bilateral cooperation program (the second charter), with the United States government, represented by the MMC, with the objective of raising the quality of human capital and improving the real estate productivity.
