A press release from MCINET that “as part of the follow-up to the ban on the practice of tokens in all its forms, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and the Green and Digital Economy reminds manufacturers and paint professionals building that the deadline for the withdrawal of any type of token ends on April 30, 2021 ”.
This practice goes against the efforts to protect the consumer, strengthen the competitiveness of the Moroccan company and promote the culture of transparency, notes the ministry, welcoming the commitment of professional manufacturers for their involvement and their compliance with the measures. taken in this regard.
These include, in particular, the stopping of the placing of tokens in the paint cans since March 8, 2021, the end of the sale of paint with tokens since April 1, 2021 and the cleaning up of the market no later than April 30, 2021 and the declaration of the non-cash value of the tokens.
Reaffirming its commitment to cooperate with the representatives of the sector in order to put in place a favorable climate for the development of the sector, the ministry specified that it will take all the necessary measures, in accordance with the provisions of the law, to enforce the decision of final stop of this practice.
