Several Mauritanian economic players have expressed their desire to take advantage of the Moroccan experience in terms of investment and exports.
On the sidelines of a meeting organized on Friday evening by the Moroccan Embassy in Nouakchott on the “Morocco NOW” brand, officially launched on the occasion of Expo 2020 Dubai, Mohamed Ould Sidi, President of the Mauritanian Transport Federation emphasized the great investment opportunities offered in Morocco.
He considered the economic achievements made in the Kingdom as a “great national wealth”, explaining that Morocco has known “a qualitative leap and a great economic take-off in all sectors.
“We are impressed by this new brand (Morrocan Now),” he said, stressing that Morocco is ranked first at the African level in a large number of areas.
For her part, Aissata Lam, director general of the Agency for the Promotion of Investments in Mauritania, indicated that the new brand launched by Morocco is “a source of inspiration” for Mauritania.
She welcomed the Moroccan experience in the economic field in general, and investments in particular, which constitutes a model to be followed by Mauritania.
She also praised the continued support of Moroccan organizations, in particular the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and the Embassy of the Kingdom in Nouakchott, to the Agency for the Promotion of Investments in Mauritania.
