The number of Maroc Telecom Group customers reached nearly 75 million at the end of June 2022, up 1.9% compared to the same period of the previous year.
This increase is mainly driven by the growth in the number of subsidiaries (+2.8%), explains the group in a press release on its half-year results.
In Morocco, the mobile base increased by 0.3% over one year, to reach 19.7 million customers, benefiting from the 2.9% increase in the postpaid base, the same source said.
Regarding the fixed base, it fell by 2.9% over one year, to nearly 2 million lines at the end of June 2022, while the Broadband base reached 1.7 million subscribers, with an FTTH base in strong growth (+45%).
Internationally, the Mobile base reached 51,101,000 customers, spread over Burkina Faso (10,870,000), Côte d’Ivoire (10,247,000), Mali (9,157,000), Chad (5,394,000), Benin (5,367,000), Niger (2,975,000), Mauritania (2,726,000), Togo (2,666,000), Gabon (1,484,000) and Central Africa (215,000).
The fixed base, for its part, amounted to 358,000 subscribers, spread over Mali (189,000), Burkina Faso (76,000), Mauritania (57,000) and Gabon (36,000), while the fixed broadband base grew is located 150,000 customers.
