Mali beats Niger and will face Morocco in the semi-finals

The Malian U23 football team beat its Nigerian counterpart by 2 goals to 0, Saturday evening at the Prince Moulay Abdellah sports complex in Rabat, on behalf of the third day of group B of the CAN of the category.

The Malians won thanks to goals from Mamadou Sangaré (49th, sp) and Cheickna Doumbia (90th).

Thanks to this victory, Mali finished in second place in group B with 6 points and will face Morocco next Tuesday in the semi-finals.

The other last four ticket went to Egypt, winner of Gabon by 2 goals to 0, in the other match played in Tangier. The Egyptians, who won thanks to the achievements of Mahmoud Saber (82nd) ​​and Oussama Fissal (90th + 2 sp) took first place in this group with 7 points. Gabon (0 pt) and Niger (3rd/4 pts) are eliminated.

The second semi-final will pit Egypt and Guinea against each other. The first three in the ranking of the 2023 edition of the CAN will win their tickets for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
