Argentine world champion Alexis Mac Allister joined Liverpool on Thursday from Brighton on a five-year deal in a move reportedly by the British press at £55m.
“It’s an extraordinary feeling. It’s a dream come true and I can’t wait to get started,” Mac Allister said in a Reds statement.
The Argentine playmaker played a crucial role in Brighton’s successful season as they clinched their first ever European qualification by finishing sixth in the Premier League.
At the Seagulls, the 24-year-old scored 20 goals in 112 appearances. He also helped Argentina win the 2022 World Cup.
