The speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, and the president of the High Council of State of Libya, Khaled Al-Mishri, have agreed, after final adjustments which they are preparing to refine, to sign in Bouznika , the laws regulating the presidential and legislative elections scheduled for the end of this year.
According to MoroccoLatestNews sources, the speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, and the president of the Libyan High Council of State, Khaled Al-Mishri arrived in Rabat a day ago, in order to finalize the OK. As a reminder, the mixed commission had announced, on the second day of its meeting in Bouznika, that it had reached a complete agreement on the controversial points related to the election of the Head of State and the members of the National Assembly. She also said that she had reached full consensus on the involvement of political parties in the elections to the House of Representatives through party lists or individual nominations.
The committee said that the holding of parliamentary and presidential elections will be in line with the road map drawn in Bouznika and that the next legislative authority will consist of two chambers, the House of Representatives and the Senate. It was also indicated that this matter will take some time to formulate and control its legislation.
The committee called for the formation of a unified government that paves the way for electoral events throughout the country, before the entry into force of electoral laws, noting that the current Libyan reality requires that everyone gives priority to the supreme interest of the Nation. VSThat said, Morocco confirms its role as a credible mediator in the Libyan crisis. Indeed, iIt is worth noting that the negotiations and other meetings between the Libyan parties that are taking place in Morocco have continued under better omens and are leading, each time, to major consensuses that restore hope.
They have, little by little, reconciled the divergent points of view in order to reach a definitive solution to the disputes fueled by interference from outside this great Nation. The latter are invested by many parties who do not see in their interest the full and final reconciliation and which inevitably will succeed thanks to the voice of wisdom and reason.
