11 regions of Morocco recorded less than 50 new infections, this Thursday, March 25, while that of Casablanca-Settat continues to record the highest number of new cases.
The Hespress monitoring and monitoring platform, covid.hespress.com/en, details that Morocco now has 493,353 confirmed cases, 8,788 deaths (i.e. a mortality rate of 1.78%), 481,074 healings, a total of 5,411,334 tests (an increase of 11,564), and 3,491 ongoing cases treatment, including 412 in serious condition (24 under intubation). In addition, 4,289,281 people have received a first dose of the vaccine since the launch of the campaign while 3,071,117 are on the second dose, the health ministry said.
The most affected region is that of Casablanca-Settat which has 353 new cases including 271 in Casablanca, 26 in Nouaceur, 19 in Mohammadia, 16 in El Jadida, 14 in Berrechid, 5 in Médiouna, 1 in Settat and 1 in Benslimane.
The 2nd most affected region is that of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra which records 50 new contaminations including 26 in Salé, 8 in Skhirate-Témara, 7 in Rabat, 6 in Kénitra, 2 in Khemissat and 1 in Sidi Slimane.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra is followed by that of Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima which identifies 26 new cases in Tangier (16), Larache (7), Chefchaouen (2) and Al Hoceima (1).
The 4th region most affected by new cases is that of the Oriental with 22 distributed as follows: 14 in Oujda, 4 in Nador, 2 in Guercif, 1 in Berkane and 1 in Taourirt.
For its part, Marrakech-Safi notes 21 new contaminations including 13 in Marrakech, 4 in Al Haouz, 2 in El Kelaâ de Sraghna, 1 in Essaouira and 1 in Safi while that of Souss-Massa has 17 including 6 in Tiznit, 5 in Agadir, 3 in Inezgane, 2 in Chtouka-Ait Baha and 1 in Taroudant.
6 new contaminations were observed in Dakhla-Oued Eddahab all concentrated in Oued Ed-Dahab, that is to say one more than the region of Fès-Meknes (2 in Fès, 2 in Taza and 1 in Sefrou).
Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra takes stock of 4 new cases including 3 in Laâyoune and 1 in Es-Semara while that of Beni Mellal-Khénifra records 3 new cases (2 in Fquih Ben Salah and 1 in Khouribga).
The last regions which recorded 2 new infections are those of Daraâ-Tafilalet (1 in Errachidia and 1 in Tinghir) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (1 in Sidi Ifni and 1 in Assa-Zag).
