The winter transfer window may be eventful for Noussair Mazraoui. At the end of his contract with Ajax Amsterdam, the Moroccan international, who recently recruited Mino Raiola as an agent, has many offers to his credit, including one that comes straight from the Premier League.
Noussair Mazraoui no longer has his suitors. The Atlas Lion, who is the subject of much covetousness in Europe is now on the radar of Leeds United who intends to recruit him as soon as possible.
According to Football Insider, Leeds United, who are looking for potential right-backs, are keeping an eye on the Ajax Amsterdam defender before his contract expires in 2022.
Mazraoui has extensive top-level experience, which includes 12 caps in Morocco and 113 appearances for Ajax, many in Europe’s top competition.
He started all six of Ajax’s Champions League appearances last season, as well as their two against Besiktas and Sporting Lisbon this season. The defender started the season strong for Ajax, remarkably scoring four league goals and providing three assists.
The Dutch club face a battle to keep Mazraoui, who can sign a pre-contract with a foreign club in the January window, well aware of the interest in him, especially from FC Barcelona, Juventus, AS Roma, Napoli and Arsenal. Signing him for free will be a nice blow to each of the aforementioned teams.
