Liverpool and FC Porto validated their qualification for the knockout stages of the Champions League on Wednesday, while Atlético Madrid were eliminated before the last day, and despite losing to Eintracht Frankfurt (2-1 ), OM still have a chance.
Thus, in Group A, the Reds beat Ajax Amsterdam 3-0 at home and will accompany Naples in 8th.
For their part, the people of Madrid could not do better than a draw against Bayer Leverkusen (2-2), offering a ticket for the 8th in Porto in group B.
For its part, Marseille lost 2-1 on the field of Eintracht Frankfurt, and find themselves last in group D but still have a chance of qualifying. The Olympians will play their European future next Tuesday at home against Tottenham.
The main victim of this evening and without a doubt FC Barcelona, which was eliminated even before playing its match against Bayern Munich. Indeed, the fate of the Blaugranas was played out in Milan where Inter Milan beat Viktoria Plzen 4 to 0, and thanks to the advantage taken in the direct confrontations with the Catalans (1-0, 3-3), the Inter players are assured to finish in one of the top two places in Group C with already qualified Bayern Munich.
Even eliminated from the outset, the FC could not at least save face, and were corrected by Germans, qualified, who always wanted more. Barça comes out with a defeat (3-0), and will be transferred to the Europa League.

Note that the first two of each group are qualified for the round of 16.
The 3rd in each group faces a 2nd in the Europa League group in a two-way play-off, the winner of which will qualify for the knockout stages of the Europa League.
In the event of a tie between several teams, they are decided by the number of points taken against each other, then by the specific goal difference in their direct confrontations, then by the greatest number of goals scored during these confrontations. The next criterion is overall goal difference across all group matches.
