Launch of the preparatory academic cycle for the “African Lion 2023” exercise

As a prelude to the “African Lion 2023” exercise, a cycle of preparatory academic training on various operational areas was launched on Monday at the South Zone General Staff in Agadir.

The General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces indicates in a press release that these training courses, which will continue until June 2, will benefit a hundred officers and non-commissioned officers, Moroccans and from partner countries, and will be sanctioned by certificates.

In addition to the various areas and aspects related to the exercise, this training concerns the joint operational planning method, legal aspects, public information, medical planning, cybersecurity and joint exercise evaluation techniques, states the press release.

The multinational joint exercise “African Lion”, which is in its 19th edition, will take place from June 2 to 16, 2023 in six regions of Morocco, namely Agadir, Benguerir, Kénitra, Mahbès, Tiznit, Tifnit and Tantan, concludes the same source.
