The National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection (CNDP) launched, this Friday, December 9, 2022, at the National Library of the Kingdom of Morocco, the “Koun3labal” platform with an African vocation, dedicated to the protection of life. privacy and the processing of personal data in Morocco and Africa.
The event organized with the support of the United Nations system represented in Rabat and in partnership with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family and the Regional Academies of Education and Training of Fez – Meknes and Rabat – Salé – Kénitra, is part of the activities of the annual international campaign “16 Days of ‘activism against gender-based violence against women and girls’ and within the agenda of the Secretary General of the United Nations, the statement said.
On this occasion, several conferences on the protection of children, adolescents and women were organized by the CNDP with regard to the processing of their personal data, says the same source.
A Committee of Contributors is formed through “Koun3labal” agreements. The first of these agreements was signed, on the sidelines of the Board of Directors of the Regional Academy of Education and Training of Fez – Meknes, Wednesday 07 December 2022. The launch ceremony of this Friday, December 9, 2022 at the National Library of the Kingdom of Morocco, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., known in particular as the signature of the “Koun3labal” convention with major institutions and ministries.
The document thus explains the objectives of the creation of the “Koun3labal” platform, dedicated to the protection of privacy and the processing of digital data in Morocco and Africa, aimed at “educate children, teens, women, parents/guardians and teachers about digital privacy” including opportunities, dangers and risks, rights, means of protection as well as remedies.
In addition, the CNDP aims to “make the platform a reference portal in this field: guides, best practices, educational resources, etc. and this through different types of supports and artistic creations: drawings, educational videos, educational games» in addition to animatingthe participation of children and adolescents through the organization of artistic workshops, competitions, as well as the establishment of ambassador spaces for digital privacy” and to encourageresearch and development in the field of personal data protection and digital privacy: teachers, teachers, researchers…»
