Casablanca Events & Animation announced this Tuesday, June 13 the launch of the fourth edition of the Wecasablanca Festival. This festive event, which has become a source of real pride over the years, has its roots in the city’s DNA to make it a unique festival, specific to Casablanca and the identity of its inhabitants.

True to its vocation of highlighting the positioning of Casablanca as a cultural melting pot, the Wecasablanca Festival returns this year to celebrate the richness of Moroccan music.

From June 16 to 21, the Festival will unfold over a period of six days and will invite the Casablanca public to experience intense moments of music at the Espace Toro, while discovering the multiple universes of the national musical heritage, the organizers indicated in a statement.

Seasoned artists and rising stars of music will perform on an exceptional artistic stage, offering a remarkable program. The organizers point out that 10 Moroccan artists have responded and promise to ignite the stage with a multitude of musical styles.

The kick-off of the Wecasablanca Festival will be given on the evening of Friday June 16 by two talented young artists, Najat Rajoui and Houda Saad, both from major music competitions, namely Studio 2M and X Factor.

On Saturday, June 17, the Espace Toro stage will vibrate to the rhythm of performances by Mehdi Fadili, a young artist who has captivated the hearts of fans with his modern romantic songs. Mehdi Mozayine will also ignite the public with the rhythm of his sweet songs combining tradition and modernity.

The new generation of Moroccan artists will also be honored during the evening of Sunday June 18, 2023. Kawtar Sadik will captivate the public with his style which mixes rock, rap and electro, while fusing Arab and Berber rhythms imbued with traditional desert tribal sounds. Zouhair Bahaoui will celebrate love in the company of the public with his famous songs such as ” Bghit W Ga3ma 7assit“, “ Convertible ” And ” Crushi“.

In the first part of the evening of Monday, June 19, 2023, the artist Soukaina Fahsi will ignite the atmosphere with her melodies inspired by flamenco, blues, jazz and African music. She will then give way to Najat Aâtabou, who will set the stage on fire with the popular rhythm of chaâbi.

On Tuesday, June 20, the Espace Toro stage will host singer Mourad Bouriki, the winner of the first season of ” The Voice in its Arabic version. The contemporary artist Zakaria El Ghafouli will punctuate the second part of the evening with his melodious titles.

During the evening of June 21, 2023 and in partnership with local players in the metropolis, the Orchester Philharmonique du Maroc will captivate and transport listeners into a world of melody, harmony and emotion, under the direction of the conductor. orchestra Dina Bensaïd, through an exceptional concert on film music by John Williams. In the first part of the evening, the finalist of the singing competition launched by Casatramway in partnership with Stud Live, will provide covers of several musical varieties, Arabic and international.

The magic of the Wecasablanca Festival will continue on June 22, 23 and 24, 2023, this time at the Megarama and will celebrate the Fête de la Musique in partnership with the Moroccan Association of Andalusian Music.

The public of the white city is thus invited to Wacasablanca Festival from June 16 to 21, 2023 at the Toro space (El Hank – Casablanca) and to the Megarama from June 22 to 24 to immerse themselves in the bewitching melodies of the rich Moroccan musical heritage. . The concerts will begin at 8:30 p.m., the organizers specify.
