Amir Ohana, the speaker of the Knesset (the Israeli parliament) should soon go to Morocco during an official visit, indicates a parliamentary source to MoroccoLatestNews.
The Knesset speaker’s visit is expected to take place in June, the same sources say. Amir Ohana, 47, is of Moroccan origin, he served as Minister of Justice in 2019, then became Minister of Internal Security in Israel between 2020 and 2021 before taking up this current position.
This trip is part of an agreement for an exchange of visits between the Moroccan and Israeli parliaments.
The two parliaments are set to strengthen their joint cooperation as well, and this visit follows a visit in August 2021 by an Israeli parliamentary delegation to the seat of the Moroccan parliament.
