King Mohammed VI and Paul Kagame will be decorated at a CAF ceremony

King Mohammed VI and the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, have been chosen to receive the “outstanding achievement” award from the Presidents of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the year 2022.

The King of Morocco and the Rwandan President are the guests of honor at the FIFA Summit to be held on March 16 in Kigali, Rwanda, according to an internal CAF email.

An email signed by Véron Mosengo-Omba, Secretary General of CAF, and addressed to all the presidents of football associations on the African continent, invited the presidents of African Federations for the award ceremony on this occasion.

The secretary general of CAF explains that he was mandated by the president, Patrice Motsepe to send these invitations.

Giving more details, he specified that the President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino as well as other guests of CAF will join this ceremony dedicated to the exceptional achievements.

As a reminder, the ceremony will also see the announcement of the name of the country selected for the organization of the next CAN 2025. Morocco is the big favorite for the organization of this competition.
