US President Joe Biden renewed his commitment to support the defense of the United Arab Emirates against terrorist acts and other hostile acts, during a meeting on Saturday with President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the sidelines of the summit Joint Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
The two sides discussed regional and global opportunities and challenges, believing that they require close coordination between the UAE and the United States.
The two partners also discussed the role of the United States in establishing new economic and commercial relations between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as in deepening the ties between these countries, Egypt and Jordan through new cooperation frameworks.
In the area of regional diplomacy, President Biden expressed his gratitude for the personal leadership of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in breaking down barriers, establishing diplomatic relations with Israel.
He said the United Arab Emirates was the only country in the Middle East to have deployed its army. alongside the US military in all international security alliances in which they have participated.
