Jamie Foxx to play Mike Tyson in Scorsese miniseries

It’s a production that already promises to be a success. Jamie Foxx will play Mike Tyson in an autobiographical miniseries.

The project is named “Tyson” and will be produced by the one and only Martin Scorsese. This miniseries was originally planned as a film starring Foxx, who won an Oscar for playing Ray Charles in the 2004 film, “Ray.”

The series, written by Colin Preston, will tell the incredible story of Tyson’s life and how he entered boxing history at just 20 years old.

“I’ve been trying to tell my story for some time”Tyson said in a statement. “With the recent launch of Legends Only League and the excitement of the fans following my return to the ring, I now feel like the perfect moment. I can’t wait to collaborate with Martin, Antoine, Jamie and the entire creative team to bring the audience a series. which not only captures my professional and personal journey, but also inspires and entertains ”, he added.

The series is not currently associated with any network or streaming service. Tyson and his wife Kiki will also be executive producers.

Former world heavyweight champion Tyson is considered one of the most feared boxers of all time. He finished his first year as a professional boxer with a 15-0 record, with all wins by knockout.

“Iron Mike” was 20 years and four months old when he became the youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history. He is 50-6 in his career, with 44 of 50 knockout wins.

Tyson returned to the ring against Roy Jones Jr. last November in a draw in which he showed he had lost none of his grip.
