For more than two decades, Jadara Foundation, its community of volunteers and partners, has had a lasting impact and positively transformed the lives of many young people. To celebrate the progress made, the Foundation organized the first edition of ” Change Makers“, annual networking event, for its community of volunteers and partners, which was held on Thursday June 15, 2023 at the Villa des Arts in Casablanca as part of a partnership with the Al Mada Foundation.
In the presence of many distinguished guests, including Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade, Ahmed Réda Chami, President of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council, Abdellatif Maazouz, President of the Council of the Casablanca-Settat region and Mohamed Horani , CEO of HPS and member of the Board of Jadara who gave speeches on this occasion, an exhibition was visited, and a moment specifically dedicated to networking was also held during this evening.
In a statement, Jadara Foundation explains that “Change Makers” is an event which aims to thank the volunteers, donors and partners of Jadara and to present the impact of their mobilization on the lives of thousands of young people, from the 12 regions of Morocco, whom the foundation has been supporting since 2002. , date of its creation.
“Jadara’s assessment is above all that of an entire solidarity ecosystem that is mobilizing for a lasting impact on the lives of young people. It is an ecosystem open to everyone: large companies, SMEs, liberal professions and individuals. Each of us can contribute to allowing more young people to access the social ladder”, underlined Hamid Ben Elafdil, President of Jadara Foundation, quoted in the press release.
With this event, Jadara Foundation therefore wished to pay tribute to its partners, donors and dedicated volunteers, who, through their patronage, or their donations of time and energy, contribute to helping young people from all over Morocco to realize their dreams.
The testimonies exhibited or those made in public, demonstrated how the life of a young boy or girl can be lastingly impacted thanks to the support provided by Jadara thanks to the contributions of partners, donors and volunteers. Among the testimonials, Jadara cites that of Zineb, a Jadara Foundation scholarship holder, who highlighted the importance of the support received, emphasizing the extremely positive impact that this support had on her decisions and orientations.
But the surprise was that even volunteer mentors said they were impacted by the relationship with their Jadara scholarship mentee.
“The program allows a mutual exchange between the mentor and the mentee. I learned a lot more from my mentee than what I was able to share with her in terms of personal and professional experience. The mentoring experience is one of a kind, there are no words that could express the mentor’s feelings”, testified a mentor quoted by Jadara.
