Issues for compensation expenditure reached 15.69 billion dirhams (MMDH) in the first five months of this year, climbing 148.9% compared to the same period a year earlier, according to the General Treasury. of the Kingdom (TGR).
These issues represent 92% of the total provided for by the 2022 finance law (17.02 billion dirhams), indicates the TGR in its recent monthly public finance statistics bulletin (BMSFP).
The said bulletin indicates that the operating expenses issued were 114.6 billion dirhams, of which 62.1 billion dirhams concerned salaries and wages which recorded an increase of 5.7%. Material expenses increased by 19.9% (28.4 billion dirhams against 23.7 billion dirhams) and expenses for common charges increased by 92.6% (19.4 billion dirhams against 10.1 billion dirhams) due to the 148.9% increase in offset emissions. The share of the general budget in tax refunds, reliefs and refunds increased by 41.5% due to the increase in refunds of Value Added Tax (VAT) in the interior (4.13 billion dirhams against 2.98 MDH).
