To mark the 20th anniversary of the Institution of the Mediator of the Kingdom, the Barid Al-Maghrib Group is launching a commemorative postage stamp issue.
The postage stamp, issued as part of a partnership between the two organizations, illustrates the building adorned with the logo of its 20th anniversary, said a joint statement on Tuesday.
And to emphasize that this program “is part of the objective of highlighting the principles of equity, justice and strengthening the rule of law which constitute the foundations of the missions of this institution”.
An unveiling ceremony of this special program was organized Tuesday at the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Rabat, within the framework of the international conference organized by the Institution of the Mediator of the Kingdom under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI, under the theme “Guaranteeing the development dimension of the effectiveness of human rights in public policies: what role for Mediators and Ombudsmen?” “.
The ceremony was attended by the Mediator of the Kingdom, Mohamed Benalilou, the Permanent Secretary of the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco, Abdeljalil Lahjomri, the President of the International Ombudsman Institute, Chris Feld and the General Manager of the Barid Group. This new special issue enriches the collection of postage stamps devoted to human rights, in particular the commemoration of the various anniversaries of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights between 1963 and 2018, the Marrakech International Conference on Justice in 2018, the World Forum for Human Rights in Marrakech in 2014 and the United Nations Decade for Women in 1980.
