The council of the Casablanca-Settat region adopted, Monday during its ordinary session of March held in Benslimane, a series of development projects of an economic, ecological and socio-cultural nature, for an overall investment of more than 2.9 MM DH .
During this meeting, marked in particular by the presence of the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat Region, Governor of the Prefecture of Casablanca, Saïd Ahmidouch and the Governor of the prefecture of Benslimane, Samir Elyazidi, the members of the council adopted the 61 points on today’s agenda.
In this context, 44 partnership agreements and development projects worth 2.93 billion DH were adopted.
The president of the council of the region, Abdellatif Maazouz indicated that these projects are inspired by the regional development program. These include employment, business, creation, investment and rising generations (17 projects for an overall cost of 283 MDH and a contribution from the region to the tune of 188.6 MDH).
Six other projects concern the integration of the rural world for a budget of 132 MDH and a contribution from the region of 63.84 MDH, adds Abdellatif Maazouz, adding that the axis relating to social and cultural attractiveness and the of life, including health and education, concerns 25 projects for an envelope of 1.43 billion dirhams, of which the region’s contribution amounts to 508.5 million dirhams, while the component linked to regional mobility and infrastructure concerns 7 projects for an overall budget of 1.1 billion dirhams including a contribution from the region of 334.2 million dirhams.
Abdellatif Maazouz also focused on the advanced regionalization project which reflects the royal will to establish integrated development, stressing that the region is currently preparing the regional development project for the period 2022/2027 which will be carried out in a participatory framework.
Regarding the regional land use plan, Abdellatif Maazouz explained that it is a roadmap for a promising future for the region with a view to making it a model at the national and international level.
