The prefectural service of the judicial police of Casablanca opened, Thursday, a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office in order to elucidate the circumstances of the disappearance of a police officer in suspicious conditions.
According to preliminary information from the investigation, the police officer under the traffic brigade in the district of Errahma in Casablanca disappeared immediately after completing his duties on Wednesday evening, leaving behind a portable camera of function and personal glasses which were found bearing traces of blood, indicates a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The investigation and search operations, carried out by the national security services and elements of the Royal Gendarmerie, led to the discovery of a charred corpse inside a sewer channel near the Douar “Lkhadara”. around Had Soualem, which could be that of the missing police officer, especially since professional handcuffs and the remains of the official vest were found at the scene.
The experts of the scientific and technical police carry out the verification of the identity of the victim on the basis of his genetic fingerprints, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to elucidate the ins and outs of this case.
